Remembering Carol Vance Wall

Carol Vance Wall was a dear friend to and dedicated supporter of NBCC from the beginning. Over the course of a nearly 30-year relationship, Carol sat on NBCC’s Board of Trustees, chaired the Major Donor Council, and served as an advisor and confidante to NBCC President Fran Visco.

A strong believer in the power of science, Carol was a major sponsor of NBCC’s key research and education programs, bringing advocates and scientists together to support NBCC’s mission to end breast cancer.

Carol passed away from metastatic breast cancer in 2022, but the Vance Wall Foundation continues Carol’s legacy of generosity and dedication to ending breast cancer.

About the Vance Wall Foundation

Established in 1990, the Vance Wall Foundation has long supported NBCC’s programs, most notably its Project LEAD and the Artemis Project.

model and activist Linda Evangelista

Honoring Linda Evangelista

Linda Evangelista is one of the most influential fashion models of all time. Since beginning her career in the 1980s, she has graced countless magazine covers, starred in some of the most iconic editorials and advertising campaigns ever produced, and walked the runways for celebrated designers worldwide. A muse to generations of photographers, designers, and fashion creatives, Linda has left an indelible mark on the industry.

She is the co-author, alongside her longtime friend and collaborator Steven Meisel, of the best-selling Phaidon-published book Linda Evangelista Photographed by Steven Meisel. She also served as a producer of the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ docuseries The Super Models.

Beyond fashion, Linda is a dedicated advocate for AIDS/HIV and breast cancer research and awareness, having survived breast cancer twice. She also champions initiatives supporting body positivity, racial equality, and the LGBTQ+ community. She currently lives in New York City with her son, Augie.
